Apply Now for NCWIT Aspirations in Computing Awards

Awards for KY’s Tech-loving Students and Educators
2019 Aspiration in Computing Awards

Presented by The National Center for Women & Information Technology

The NCWIT Aspirations in Computing (AiC) Awards recognize and celebrate women who are pursuing interests in computing and technology based fields. From computer science to costume design; information technology to infographics, the AiC program celebrates the creative ways you use technology. In addition to the cash and tech prizes, AiC furthers women’s pursuits in technology by connecting them with inspirational peers and mentors, acknowledging their technical contributions, preparing them to reach educational and career goals, and so much more.

The Kentucky Girls STEM Collaborative proudly partners with NCWIT to bring this unique opportunity to KY’s students and educators. Visit http://aspirations.org today for the opportunity to receive generous prizes and valuable recognition for all that you do (or aspire to do) in computing.

We need you.
Here’s why:

  • Technology is changing our world.
Technology careers are lucrative and computing skills are in demand.

  • Diversity in computing is lacking.
Women, especially women of color, are essentially “absent” from technology innovation.
  • Change leadership is critical.
Ineffective strategic leadership allows underrepresentation in computing to persist.
